Responsibilities include working directly with the research and development team to initiate design, color materials and process of leather products for customer projects. Work with Sales and marketing to identify programs to be sourced and maintained as well as working with cross-functional departments to facilitate the highest quality customer care.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop leather for the automotive market from concept to pre-production
Ability to interpret customer concept and ideas into leather
Coordinate with Sales on development of new automotive leather products
Work with research and development to create new automotive leather products
Identify new business opportunities through direct design customer contact
Strategize with Sales and marketing to identify program opportunities
Delivery of samples / hides for program directed projects
Work with R&D to evaluate products or processes for cost efficiency
Ensure that product developments are completed in a timely manner
Knowledge of product / customer testing requirements and methods
Assist in creating advanced design presentations
Research automotive and alternate leather trends and interpret into product development
Implement PDR orders to support customer projects
Ability to travel when necessary

Qualifications:
Minimum of 6 years working experience
Bachelor degree or above in related majors of design, engineering and automotive
Proficient in Microsoft Office (word, excel, PowerPoint) as well as Photo Shop and or Illustrator
Self managing and motivating
Ability to communicate in a professional manner to all levels of the organization, including management and manufacturing, customers and outside parties
Strong organizational skills
Ability to present products using new and unique presentation methods
Excellent oral and written English and Mandarin
Candidates who have related leather or automotive working experience will be preferred.
